Who We Are
“What is Life?” asked George Harrison back in 1971. His hit song climbed the charts that summer for reasons far deeper than a good guitar riff.
It’s a question that follows us everywhere—into our offices, home to our dinner tables, and under the covers with us during the deepest hours of the night. Most are conveniently too busy to discuss it. And the notion is often deemed irrelevant, immature—something you should have settled already.
Well, we at Meditate This! think otherwise. We like asking, and we like hearing what others have to say. So we’ve created a podcast where the most interesting people can discuss their understanding of mindfulness, art, science, spirituality, music, philosophy, and so much more.
Funny and fruitful, ponderous and pop cultural. Give it a listen, and maybe change your perspective.
PETER (Pete) FALKER
Pete lives near the peaceful St. Croix river in Stillwater, MN. Somehow he managed to find a stunningly gorgeous wife and have two extremely talented kids. He owns an investment firm, and often reminds people that he used to live in NYC in an attempt to boost his street cred. Pete feels “artistic” when making his coffee from a French press, but has recently found meditative bliss in Yerba Mate.
JASON (Jay) HOLLANDER
Jay lives on the Brooklyn waterfront, is senior director of communications and adjunct professor at a university, and has written screenplays on subjects ranging from baseball to time travel. He created People’s Meditation in 2009 and cofounded the MindfulNYU initiative in 2011. Jay really likes playing soccer and tennis but is possibly happiest with a cup of Kozy Shack rice pudding.
